FRESH IS ALWAYS BEST

It’s just that simple when it comes to getting the first pick of Brisbane’s freshest produce. Our team of buyers is up and at the Brisbane Rocklea Markets from 3:30 am Monday to Friday to ensure that we never miss out on quality products. Purchasing our fresh produce daily also allows us to avoid long term cold storage, many of our items are available for sale on-shelf in-store the day we buy them.

As a Brisbane owned local retailer it’s important to us to support local producers. From the Gold Coast Hinterlands to Glasshouse Mountains, the South East corridor has a stunning array of fresh local products. Dairies to cheesemakers, European small-goods to handmade dips and antipasto, many of our best local gourmet foods are also well-kept secrets. We do our best to put the best local gourmet foods available locally at your fingertips.

For us, great food is about connection and community. From discovering a delicious new gourmet ingredient, to cooking a perfectly tender roast, it’s all made better when shared with friends or family. Visit us in-store and you’ll find that we’re building a foodie community with something new to discover in-store every day. Sample new products at our cooking demos or ask our butchers for meal ideas, we’ve always got suggestions to make, a product to taste, or a story to share.

We think it’s a good idea to know where your food comes from so that you can be confident that you are purchasing only the best, freshest and healthiest foods for both you and your family. Besides quality assurance and great flavour, the best products always have a story to tell. We do our best to make sure you know the stories behind our products and why we think they’re a great pick. If you’re not sure then put us to the test and ask us next time you’re in.

It takes a lot of teamwork to keep our displays full, steaks cut and olives marinated and we think we’ve got just the right bunch. Heading up each of our in-store departments our Team Leaders have a wealth of fresh food knowledge and experience to share.

Fresh Fruit & Vegetables

PETER CUPO

Pick a fruit any fruit and Peter will be able to tell you when it’s in-season, how to tell if it’s ripe and the best way to store it. With many years of industry experience, from lime fingers to spaghetti squash if you can eat it Peter knows about it.

Continental Deli

MEL YOUNG

With a background in gourmet delicatessens, Mel knows her Brie’s from her Blues. If you need catering or just looking for something a little special to impress your guests from our Continental Deli, Mel got you covered.

Specialty Groceries

TRACEY LAMB

Gluten-free or allergy-friendly foods can be tough to find. Our resident foodie Tracey can help find those specialty grocery items that you can’t find anywhere else. With several years of fresh food retail experience, a passion for health/wellness foods Tracey and the team are always happy to help.

Gourmet Butchery

LEO TAULAPAPA

With an eye for detail, and a consummate knowledge for the many facets of the Butchery trade and always up for a chat, Leo is your guy to go-to for any meat enquires.

Opened in October 2002, Zone Fresh Gourmet Markets, locally owned and operated, is one of Brisbane’s leading gourmet markets. Now an established local business with a strong customer community, our goal is to consolidate our reputation for retailing the very best gourmet products and fresh produce available across Brisbane today while pioneering a new standard of excellence in personalised customer service.
